Community Involvement: Big Island Lake Cree Nation Annual Powwow

Design Smart Security was honored to sponsor and attend the Big Island Lake Cree Nation Annual Powwow in both 2022 and 2023. Participating in this important cultural event allowed us to give back to the community and learn from the people of this incredible Nation.

Supporting local events like this reflects our commitment to Indigenous communities and Saskatchewan, building meaningful relationships while promoting safety, trust, and collaboration.

Giving Back to Our Communities

At Design Smart Security, giving back goes beyond sponsoring Powwows, golf tournaments, and race cars — it’s about making a real difference in people’s lives. Over the past two winters, we have provided ski suits, jackets, warm sweaters, hats, scarves, mittens, and socks to help keep Caroline Robbins students warm. This past winter, we expanded our efforts to include Vincent Massey School as well.

December is always special with Care & Share Luncheons, where we enjoy the beautiful voices of the school choir, serve lunch to all the students, and experience countless smiles and appreciation. Our support continues with Christmas hampers, gift-giving, and spreading holiday cheer, reinforcing our belief that security isn’t just about protection — it’s also about community care and giving back.
